QMD announces arrival of Al-Dhira, the brightest summer star

The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) announced that Sunday night marked the first night of the fifth and brightest summer star, Al-Dhira. Also known as Al-Marzim, it is renowned as the fifth and brightest star of summer in the sky. The star’s rise lasts for a period of 13 days.

During this period, the sun shines brightly, humidity levels rise, and some clouds may appear, potentially bringing rain. The prevailing winds during this time are the northeastern winds.
