Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, on Wednesday, attended the departure ceremony of the Qatari security forces, heading to the French Republic to participate in securing the Olympic Games Paris 2024, due to be held from Jul.26 to Aug.11.

The participation of the Qatari security forces in this event underscores the strength of the growing strategic partnership between the State of Qatar and the French Republic, particularly in the security fields, and comes as part of an administrative agreement on security cooperation signed between the two countries last February.

The agreement was co-signed by Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and Interior and Overseas Minister of the French Republic, Gerald Darmanin.

The participation underlines the expertise the Qatari security forces have internalized in safeguarding major global events, signifying the enduring legacy of Qatar and the world.
