Qatar Airways adds more flights to Sri Lanka

Airline will operate a total of 42 weekly flights between Doha and Colombo.

Qatar Airways will increase its flight frequency between Colombo, Sri Lanka, and Doha from five to six daily flights, starting July 10, 2024, reports say.

The additional flights will be operated by Boeing 787 aircraft, which feature 30 Business Class seats and 281 Economy Class seats.

With this increase, Qatar Airways will operate a total of 42 weekly flights to and from Sri Lanka, connecting passengers to nearly 170 global destinations worldwide.

Jonathan Fernando, Qatar Airways Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives, expressed excitement about the increased flights to and from Sri Lanka, aiming to enhance passenger connectivity.

He emphasized that this increase reflects the airline’s dedication to providing the best travel experience, aboard the World’s Best Airline.

The new flights will offer more options for passengers to connect to major destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and beyond via Hamad International Airport, awarded Skytrax World’s Best Airport.
