Minister visits coral reefs

Minister of Environment and Climate Change, H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Subaie, conducted a field visit on Monday, within the framework of the coral reef survey project.

The visit aims to follow up on efforts to protect and develop the marine environment, and to confirm the country’s commitment to protecting its natural resources.

The trip included a series of field activities aimed at assessing the condition of coral reefs and working to develop appropriate plans to preserve them.

The Minister stressed the importance of such initiatives in preserving the marine habitats of the State of Qatar, and enhancing awareness of the importance of protecting the marine environment to ensure its sustainability for future generations.

Major General Jassim bin Ali Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Commander of the Joint Special Forces, and the Environment Directorate at the Ministry of Defense, represented by Brigadier General (Technician/Air) Mohammed Yousef Al-Jaida, a number of senior officials in the Ministry of Environment, and a group of researchers and marine environment activists participated in this visit.
