The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has urged the owners of structures and camps adjacent to turtle nests to turn off the lights at night when seeing baby turtles heading to the lights in those sites, in order to help them go directly to the sea.
The request comes with the start of the sea turtle nesting season. The Ministry requested that for any help, they can contact 16066, and the sea turtle protection project teams will provide the required assistance.
