Hamad General Hospital receives 2,122 patients on the first day of Eid Al Adha

The Hamad General Hospital received 2,122 patients, including 465 cases that visited the emergency section, on the first day of Eid al-Adha, and 1,657 cases visited the children’s emergency departments, while the ambulance service received 723 calls, including five calls for air ambulance.

This was revealed by the Hamad General Hospital to the local media.

Dr. Mohammed Al Ameri – Head of the Pediatrics Department and Director of Pediatric Emergency Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, said: “The paediatric emergency department at Al Sadd received 709 cases, while the pediatric emergency department in Al Rayyan received 324 cases, while the airport emergency department received 176 cases, and Al Daayen Emergency Department received 83 cases, and the total number of cases received by the Al-Wakra Children’s Emergency Department was 268, and the Al-Khor Emergency Department received 97 cases.”

Doctors at Hamad Medical Corporation called on patients with routine illnesses to go to the health centers affiliated with the Primary Health Care Corporation to reduce pressure on the emergency departments of Hamad Medical Corporation.

Meanwhile, doctors have warned parents against leaving their children, especially those under five years, unattended during play or swimming times to protect them from drowning and falling accidents.
