Amir performs Eid Al Adha prayer at Lusail prayer ground

Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani performed Eid Al Adha prayer along with a group of loyal citizens at Lusail praying area on Sunday morning.

Also performing the prayer were Personal Representative of the Amir, H H Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, H H Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani; HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanem, and a number of Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers, members of the Shura Council, and a number of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions in the country.

HE Sheikh Dr. Thaqeel bin Sayer Al Shammari, who is a judge of the Court of Cassation and Supreme Judiciary Council member, led the prayer and delivered the Eid sermon in which he explained that Eid Al Adha is a sacred observance of God, manifesting the grandeur of faith and the unity among Muslims.
He also emphasized the importance of giving, generosity, and righteousness on this magnificent day, highlighting the significant rulings regarding the sacrificial offering in Islam, urging the devotion of worship solely to God and the intention of drawing closer to Allah through this rite.

He also urged the purification of souls, the mending of hearts, the strengthening of familial bonds, and the enhancement of fraternal ties within the community. He reminded the faithful of the obligation to obey the leaders, to pray for them, and to adhere to the Muslim congregation.
