The Diaspora of Malappuram (DoM Qatar) is set to host ‘Malhar 2024,’ a public event celebrating the formation day of Malappuram district. The event will take place at ICC Ashoka Hall, Abu Hamour, on Tuesday, June 18, at 4 pm, it was announced at a press conference.
Renowned writer and Kendra Sahitya Academy awardee, K P Ramanunny, will grace the occasion as the chief guest. In a special segment, elderly expatriates from Malappuram District residing in Qatar will be honoured for their contributions.
The event will feature a musical performance by Kollam Shafi, accompanied by various art and cultural shows, promising an evening filled with cultural festivities.
DoM Qatar President Usman Kallan, General Secretary Moosa,Tanur, Treasurer Ratheesh Kakov, Chief Adviser Mashood Thirtiyad, Program Director Abi Chunkathara, Program General Convener Siddique Cheruvallur, Finance Chairman Siddique Vazhakad, Media Chairman Naufal Kattupara, Secretary Soumya Pradeep, and Women’s Wing General Convener Shamla Jahfar attended the press conference.
