DOHA: The 12th anniversary of the Qatar Samanwaya Family Association, SAMANWAYOTHSAVAM Season 2 was celebrated in grand style at the New Salata Skills Development Center in Doha.
The programme was inaugurated by P N Baburaj, former president of Indian Cultural Center (ICC) under the chairmanship of Vijayakumar Kalarikal, Head of Welfare wing of ICBF Abdulrauf Kondotty greeted the function.
Qatar Samanwaya members who have completed 25 years in Qatar – Unnikrishnan Kondotty, Unnirajan, Gopalakrishnan, Vijayakumar Kalarikal – and founder Arun Saras, and Suresh Babu, who is an excellent organizer, were honored by guests with ponnada at the event.
A song festival featuring well-known Keralite singers, as well as a dance festival and a karaoke performance by members of the Qatar Samanwaya, were held.
Secretary Ranjit Devdas and Treasurer Sreekumar Kalarikal led the function.
