Aircraft to monitor environment launched

In the presence of Minister of Environment and Climate Change, H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Subaie, the Ministry officials launched the first rounds of environmental meteorological monitoring aircraft, called ‘Auto Gyro’ helicopter, at Umm Shakhut Airport.

The Minister was briefed on the capabilities of the “Auto Gyro” aircraft, and how it will help protect the Qatari environment. The Minister also took the first tour in the aircraft, during which he inspected the surrounding land and sea areas, and saw up close the smart technologies that enable the monitoring of the environment.
