Doha: ANECX Qatar (alumni of NSS College of Engineering) organized a warm reception at Doha International Airport to its member and treasurer Eng. Mohammed Anvar, who was returning from Oman after achieving a sporting milestone by becoming the IronMan 70.3 Oman.
ANECX Qatar President Dr Abdul Hameed Pathiyil handed over a flower bouquet and General Secretary Eng. Aneesh handed over a medal in appreciation of his achievement.
Sport Joint Secretary Eng. Ubais, Public Relations Joint Secretary Eng. Ifaj, EF Coordinator Eng. Afsal and Senior Member Eng. Ram Mohan were present at the airport to receive Anvar.
The sought-after recognition of IronMan is an athlete’s proof of endurance, dedication, and perseverance. The Ironman 70.3 is a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC).
The Ironman 70.3 refers to the total distance of 113km, which consists of 1.9 km of swimming in the sea, 90 km of cycling, and 21.1 km of running. The 2024 IRONMAN 70.3 Oman, Muscat, offers qualifying slots to the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.
Eng. Anvar achieved the recognition of ‘IronMan 70.3 Oman’ for the dedicated triathlete with a time of 06:57:06 hours.
