Scattered rains reported across Qatar

Doha: Qatar witnessed moderate to heavy rains in several parts of the country with temperatures also plummeting.
The meteorological department had earlier forecast rains and cloudy skies in the country.

The rains started on Saturday night after the World Cup final, with residents enjoying a cold and rainy night after Qatar’s spectacular performance in the Asian Cup 2023 final.

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) stated that some parts of the country were experiencing service interruptions due to the heavy rains and its teams were working hard to restore the services.

“Service interruptions were recorded in several parts of the country,” Kahramaa said in a statement.
